STEELE -- Howard Clayton "Bo" McCollum, 70, of Steele died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 1996, in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 18, 1925, at Steele, son of John L. and Ora Crews McCollum. He and Maxine Robinson were married Sept. 5, 1950.
McCollum was postmaster at Steele many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Tracy Lemon of Conway, Ark.; a son, Dennis McCollum of Cape Girardeau; four brothers, Euell McCollum of Tucson, Ariz., John McCollum of Jonesboro, Ark., Bill McCollum of Marlboro, Mass., Robert McCollum of Charleston; a sister, Frances Johnson of Davenport, Iowa; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Steele from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. James F. McCrary officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.
