PERRYVILLE -- Howard L. Blair, 67, of Perryville, died Saturday, July 13, 1991, in Perry County.
He was born Jan. 24, 1924 at Seventy Six, Mo., son of Floyd H. and Rosia Wichern Blair.
He was the retired gas superintendent for the city of Perryville and a retired member of the Perryville Fire Department. He was a member of the American Legion in Perryville and AmVets No. 94 of Perryville.
He married Cleora Pingel on May 29, 1948. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Michael and Thomas Blair, both of Perryville; three daughters, Joyce Reitzel and Suzanne Wibbenmeyer, both of Perryville, and Jo Ann Graham of Baton Rouge, La.; one brother, John Blair of Fairburg, Neb.; four stepbrothers, Wallace, Flabian, James and Kenneth Schnurbusch; five stepsisters, Mildred Throgmartin, Rosella Kutz, Wilberta Amschler, Dorothy Buchheit and Delphine Schnurbusch; and nine grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at Drayton Funeral Home in Perryville. A wake service will be held at 7 tonight, followed by an American Legion service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville with the Rev. Charles Herbst officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
