PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Howard D. Hager, 89, of Perryville died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at Perry County Nursing Home.
He was born Nov. 1, 1913, in Perry County, son of Jasper and Elizabeth Cashion Hager. He and Sylva Farrar were married Jan. 23, 1937. She died Jan. 31, 1982.
Hager retired as a fireman at Mississippi Lime. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Delores Streiler of Jackson, Darlene Hoehn of Perryville, Betty Akins of Chester, Ill.; a son, Douglas Hager of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Donald Hager of Perryville; a sister, Eileen Falcone of Buckner, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a brother, a sister, four half brothers, five half sisters, a grandson, and a great-great-grandson.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. today, and Friday after 6:30 a.m.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Don Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
