WHITEWATER -- Howard Glenn Moore, 72, of Whitewater, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Dec. 3, 1919, at Whitewater, son of Ruddle O. and Carrie Graham Moore. He and Betty Acup were married Aug. 1, 1954...

WHITEWATER -- Howard Glenn Moore, 72, of Whitewater, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 3, 1919, at Whitewater, son of Ruddle O. and Carrie Graham Moore. He and Betty Acup were married Aug. 1, 1954.

Moore owned and operated Moore's IGA Market and Locker at Lutesville many years, and had also farmed. He served on the Woodland School Board 16 years.

He was a member of Lutesville United Methodist Church, Twin City Lions Club, 50-year member of Whitewater Masonic Lodge, and past patron of Whitewater Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gary Moore with the U.S. Navy in Groton, Conn., Brooks Moore of Whitewater; a daughter, Carrie Holland of Cape Girardeau, and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Liley Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. The Rev. Virgil Bunch will officiate, with burial in Barks Chapel Cemetery near Crump.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7:30.
