FROHNA, Mo. -- Howard R. Fiehler, 89, of Frohna died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at Independence Care Center of Perry County, Missouri.
He was born Oct. 15, 1927, in Frohna, son of Ben and Clara Kaufmann Fiehler. He married Vivian Petzoldt on Dec. 9, 1951. She preceded him in death Aug. 29, 2015.
Howard was a farmer of both agriculture and livestock. He was a very active member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna. He was a member of the East Perry Band and the Saxony Hills Band. He loved gardening.
Survivors include one son and one daughter, Wendy Goude of St. Louis and Brian (Cynthia Scearce) Fiehler of Rolla, Missouri; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son-in-law, Gary Goude; and three brothers, Rupert, Clennon and Edward Fiehler.
Visitation was Sunday and Monday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel.
Funeral service was Monday at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, with the Rev. Rod Benkendorf officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to Concordia Lutheran Church.
