OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Howard D. "Buzzy" Johnson, 57, of Olive Branch, died Friday, March 1, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born in Mounds, Ill., on Aug. 29, 1938, son of Robert H. and Hattie Boren Johnson.
He was a clerk for the Illinois Central Railroad and was a former employee of the Florsheim Shoe Co. and Southern Medical Center in Cairo.
His faith was Pentecostal and he was an Army veteran.
He is survived by his mother, Hattie M. Johnson of Olive Branch; a son, Bobby Johnson of Anna; a sister, Shirley Hottinger of Jackson; and two grandchildren.
One grandchild preceded him in death.
Private visitation and funeral service will be held Tuesday at the Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds with the Rev. Clarence Glenn officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
