CAIRO, Ill. -- Hortense H. Cange, 88, of Cairo died Monday, Jan. 27, 1997, at Daystar Care Center. She was born July 26, 1908, in Grand Chain, daughter of Theodore and Louise Klein Diepenbrock. CAIRO, Ill. -- Hortense H. Cange, 88, of Cairo died Monday, Jan. 27, 1997, at Daystar Care Center.

She was born July 26, 1908, in Grand Chain, daughter of Theodore and Louise Klein Diepenbrock. She married Adam Cange, who died in 1987.

Cange was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella.

Survivors include a son, Donald Cange of Cairo; a sister, Sally Myers of Cairo; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

There is no visitation.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Church, with the Rev. Jerome Fortenberry officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.

Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
