Woods was a former hotel porter. He had lived at the veterans home since June 26, 1990.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946.
There are no survivors.
The funeral will be at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Lee Roy Quinn will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park, with graveside service by Missouri Honor Guard.
