SIKESTON -- Horace W. Evans, 80, of Sikeston, died Thursday, March 10, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born April 13, 1913, in Milburn, Ky., son of John William and Ola Mae Rodgers Evans. He and Hazel M. Dismuke were married Nov. 24, 1941.
Evans had lived here since 1950, and was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Cliff Evans of Chaffee, Freddie Evans of Saginaw, Texas, Michael Evans of Fort Worth, Texas; five daughters, Marsha Blackburn and Debbie Barrozo of Sikeston, Margaret Hodgkiss of Irving, Texas, Wilma McKown of Moulton, Ala., Karen Kaiser of Corpus Christi, Texas; four brothers, L.W. Evans of Idabel, Okla., LeRoy and Dale Evans of Malden, John Evans of Roy, Utah; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, a sister and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Revs. Jerry Harris and Jim Calvin will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
