CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Hontas C. Fox of Charleston will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Gerald Collier will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today.
Fox, 99, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Aug. 3, 1894, in Murray, Ky., daughter of Henry Clay and Mary Virginia Dodd McCuiston. She and Hascal Fox were married in 1912. He died in 1947.
Fox was a member of First Baptist Church and American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include three sons, Russell Fox of Wheaton, Ill., Jeff Fox of Belleville, Ill., Ralph Fox of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three daughters, Mildred Dalton and Frances Farris of Sikeston, Martha Evans of Jefferson City; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, two grandchildren, a brother and three sisters.
