DEXTER -- Homer E. Ridenour, 78, of Dexter died Sunday, July 26, 1998, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 4, 1919, near Sikeston, son of Timothy Albert and Lessie Harvey Ridenour. He and Elsie Mae Masterson were married Sept. 1, 1941, at St. Charles.
Ridenour lived in Dexter most of his life. He was a retired carpenter. He attended the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Dexter. He served in the Missouri National Guard.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Freddy Ridenour of Dexter; a daughter, Peggy Temples of Bernie; two brothers, Leon Ridenour of St. Louis and Alvin Ridenour of St. John, Mich.; four sisters, Ada Sutton of Buckeye, Ariz., Pauline Crow of Dudley, Jewell Re of St. Louis, and Vera Melton of Thayer; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jimmy Kirby will officiate, with burial in the Sadlers Chapel Cemetery near Dexter.
