ANNA, Ill. -- Homer R. Fear, 81, of Anna died Friday, Oct. 22, 1999, at his home. He was born Jan. 21, 1918, at Anna, son of Otto and Nora Jane Barred Fear. He and Rosemary Brown were married Aug. 9, 1941, in Jackson. Fear worked as a carpenter and retired in 1979. He was a member of the Carpenters Local 554 in Chicago, a veteran of World War II and a member of VFW Post 3455 in Anna...

ANNA, Ill. -- Homer R. Fear, 81, of Anna died Friday, Oct. 22, 1999, at his home.

He was born Jan. 21, 1918, at Anna, son of Otto and Nora Jane Barred Fear. He and Rosemary Brown were married Aug. 9, 1941, in Jackson.

Fear worked as a carpenter and retired in 1979. He was a member of the Carpenters Local 554 in Chicago, a veteran of World War II and a member of VFW Post 3455 in Anna.

Survivors included his wife; a daughter, Brenda Bau of Kalamazoo, Mich.; four sisters, Dorothy Aden and Thelma Lingle, both of Anna, Mary Burke of Naperville and Pauline Bond of Wisconsin; a brother, Clifford Fear of Anna; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Friends may call at Hileman & Parr Funeral Services from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Joe Aldridge will officiate, with burial in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
