Anna, Ill. -- Homer L. Eddleman, 85, of Anna died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at his home.
He was born May 20, 1920, in East St. Louis, Ill., son of Hoyt and Olive Stocks Eddleman. He and Marjorie Ray were married Dec. 4, 1949, in Piggott, Ark. She died April 5, 2002.
Eddleman was a member of the First Baptist Church in Anna.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 in Anna. He owned and operated Eddleman Standard Service Station in Anna for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Terri Dover of Anna and Pat Dwight of Valparaiso, Ind.; a son, Nelson Brimm of Jonesboro, Ill.; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, a grandson and a great-grandson.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Kelley officiating. Burial will be at Anna City Cemetery with full military honors by the Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
