MARBLE HILL -- Hobert Daniel James Garland, 69, of Marble Hill died Friday, April 17, 1992 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born near Sedgewickville on Feb. 27, 1923, the son of James and Myrtle Cook Garland.
On Jan. 26, 1946, he married the former Wanda Lee Cook. She survives.
He is also survived by two sons, Billy Joe Garland, Patton, Robert Garland, Marble Hill; one daughter, Wanda Luttrell, Marble Hill; two brothers, Lenwood Garland, Junior Garland, both of Marble Hill; three sisters, Dorothy Cook, Gearldine Cook, Melba Dean Cook, all of Marble Hill; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Four brothers, three sisters, one grandchild and one great-grandchild preceded him in death.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Friends may call at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill after 4 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Arzie Long and Brother Sheldon Owen officiating. Burial will follow in Pulliam Cemetery near Marble Hill.
