STURDIVANT -- H. M. Stepp Jr., 76, of Sturdivant died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at St. Louis.
He was born March 27, 1923, at Sturdivant, son of Harrison and Arleva Smith Stepp. He and Berniece Becker were married Nov. 15, 1973, at Ironton.
Stepp worked for BiState Bus at St. Louis for 29 years and served with the United States Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Danny Gerald Stepp of Waterloo, S.C., James Michael Stepp of Robertsville and Roger David Stepp of Sturdivant; two daughters, Patricia Jane Boyer of Ellsinore and Nita Sue Tubb of Poplar Bluff; two step-daughters, Gloria Akins of DeSoto and Janet McCoy of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a brother, James Perry Stepp of Hutchinson, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel at Advance.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel. The Rev. Junior Wade will officiate, with burial to follow at Cato Cemetery near Zalma.
