Hilda Marie Wallman, 90, of Pocahontas died Thursday, May 13, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She had lived at Jackson Manor the past eight years.
She was born Feb. 6, 1914, at Pocahontas, daughter of Ernst and Anna Dreyer Walther. She and Aaron A. Wallman were married March 28, 1932, in Pocahontas. He died Feb. 22, 1999.
Wallman was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church at Pocahontas.
Survivors include two daughters, Mildred Hoffman of New Wells, Verna Koenig of Farrar, Mo.; two brothers, Albert Walther of Jackson, Gilbert Walther of Pocahontas; six sisters, Nelda McMurty, Irene Hurst and Bernice Baker, all of St. Louis, Meta Hunt of Jackson, Corine Lashley of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Helen Thiel of Jerseyville, Ill.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and a sister.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, and Tuesday after 10 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Pocahontas.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Robert Mann officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
