Hilda J. Merideth, 85, of Florissant, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1993 at Christian Hospital Northeast in St. Louis.
She was born April 19, 1907 in Perryville, the daughter of Leon Hoffman and Mary Sutterer.
On Dec. 26, 1927, she married William A. Merideth, who preceded her in death in March 1986.
She worked as a seamstress and was a member of the St. Vincent parish in Cape Girardeau. She had moved to Florissant two years ago.
She is survived by one son, William F. Merideth, Florissant; three daughters, Mary L. Reed, Florissant, Doris J. Christoff, Jefferson City, Diane H. Cooper, Cape Girardeau; four sisters, Ethel Baer, Lucille Hayden, Helen Blanc, Eileen Cattoor; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Hutchens Mortuary in Florissant Monday from 3-9 p.m.
Friends may also call Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral mass will follow at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
