Hilda Hauenschild, 94, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born May 3, 1918, near Tilsit, daughter of Ferdinand and Alma Loos Lange. She and August "Augie" Hauenschild were married Aug. 9, 1941, in Bloomfield, Mo. They had been married 65 years when he passed away March 21, 2007...

Hilda Hauenschild, 94, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 3, 1918, near Tilsit, daughter of Ferdinand and Alma Loos Lange.

She and August "Augie" Hauenschild were married Aug. 9, 1941, in Bloomfield, Mo. They had been married 65 years when he passed away March 21, 2007.

Hilda was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit. She and Augie became members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson in 1962.

She enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening.

Loving survivors include two sons, Wayne Hauenschild of Florissant, Mo., and James Hauenschild of Mascoutah, Ill.; two daughters, Rhonda (Grover) Cole Jr. and Jane Salvatore, all of Jackson; two brothers, Richard (Fern) Lange and Walter (Susie) Lange, all of Jackson; two sisters, Melva Mirly and Adela Moore, both of Jackson; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, a daughter, five sisters and a brother.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating.

Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Radio Broadcast or a church or charity of your choice.
