McGEE -- Hester M. Howell, 82, of Taft, Calif., died Tuesday, July 25, 1995, in Taft. She was born Nov. 11, 1912, at Wills, daughter of Rudolph and Cora Bell McDonald Barks. She married James William Howell, who died in 1978. Formerly of McGee, she moved to Taft in 1994. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church...

McGEE -- Hester M. Howell, 82, of Taft, Calif., died Tuesday, July 25, 1995, in Taft.

She was born Nov. 11, 1912, at Wills, daughter of Rudolph and Cora Bell McDonald Barks. She married James William Howell, who died in 1978.

Formerly of McGee, she moved to Taft in 1994. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include a son, Loren Howell of Taft; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two sons and a brother.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5-9 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crossroads Church near Greenville, with Marvin Glass officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery.
