JONESBORO, Ill. -- Funeral for Hershel E. Tellor of Jonesboro will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. The Rev. Joe Aldridge will officiate. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. today.
Tellor, 72, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 23, 1927, in Granite City, son of Elmer and Elsie Womack Tellor. He and Helen Juanita Renfro were married March 29, 1952. She died Feb. 14, 1987.
He had been a self-employed truck driver and leased to ABF Scat Division. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include five sons, Bill Ligon of Tempe, Ariz., Ron and Terry Tellor of Anna, Tony and Danny Tellor of Jonesboro; a sister, Ethel Hall of Granite City; two brothers, Glen and David Tellor of Anna; a half sister, Carrie Fisher of Granite City; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
