Hermina Reiker, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Aug. 2, 1911, at Gordonville, daughter of Henry and Katy Ressel Millering. She married Clarence E. Reiker, who died in 1973.
Mrs. Reiker was a telephone operator 35 years at Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, Telephone Pioneers, Saint Francis Medical Center Auxiliary, Friends of Saint Francis and Council of Catholic Women.
Survivors include two sons, Ray Reiker of Destin, Fla., Ken (Ann) Reiker of Shalimar, Fla.; daughter-in-law, JoAnn (widow of Bob) Reiker of Cape Girardeau; a son-in-law, Jim (widower of Janet) Pettigrew of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Linda Jacquin of Wentzville, Mo., Sharon Van Weelden of Destin; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Marilyn J. Reiker; a brother, two sisters and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Revs. Thomas Kiefer and Ralph Duffner officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
