NEW HAMBURG, Mo. -- Hermina Catherine Gosche, 94, of New Hamburg died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born Oct. 24, 1915, in Commerce, Mo., daughter of Alfers and Pauline Scherer Chatman. She and Raymond A. Gosche were married Nov. 22, 1939. He preceded her in death Nov. 10, 1987...

NEW HAMBURG, Mo. -- Hermina Catherine Gosche, 94, of New Hamburg died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 24, 1915, in Commerce, Mo., daughter of Alfers and Pauline Scherer Chatman. She and Raymond A. Gosche were married Nov. 22, 1939. He preceded her in death Nov. 10, 1987.

Hermina was a former machine operator at Eli Walker in Illmo. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, St. Ann Sodality and New Hamburg Senior Citizens.

Survivors include two sons, James "Jim" (Gail) Gosche of Jackson, Robert (Carol) Gosche of Benton, Mo.; three daughters, Jerralee (Gene) Eftink of Chaffee, Mo., Marjorie "Margie" (Ron) Schwent and Lillian "Lynn" (Rick) Haupt of Jackson; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Don Gosche; three sisters; and a brother.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The parish rosary will be at 6 p.m.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, with the Rev. Michael Casteel officiating. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
