HERMAN P. MEYER

PERRYVILLE -- Herman P. Meyer, 85, of Perryville died Sunday, Jan. 26, 1992, at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.

He was born March 17, 1906, in Apple Creek, the son of Hugo J. Meyer Sr. and Mary Schnurbusch Meyer. On Oct. 20, 1931, he married Justina J. Lauck, who preceded him in death Feb. 23, 1981.

He had lived in Perryville since 1936, where he was a member of the Western Catholic Union and the Holy Name Society.

Survivors include two sons, James A. and Donald J. Meyer, both of Florissant; a daughter, Ethel A. Thompson of Manchester; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by six brothers.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A wake service is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Funeral mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Charles Herbst will officiate, and burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
