Herman H. Lucey, 67, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born May 28, 1937, at Matthews, Mo., son of William "Jack" and Naomi Moyers Lucey.
Herman was a 1957 graduate of Bell City High School. He had worked at Atlas Buildings, Sturdy Built and owned and operated the former C&L Construction in Jackson. He was a member of First General Baptist Church in Jackson.
Loving survivors include a son, Kenny Lucey of Jackson; a daughter and son-in-law, Penny and George Bruhl of St. Peters, Mo.; four grandchildren, Kenny W. Lucey Jr. of Marble Hill, Mo., Christopher W., Andrew M., and Justin M. Freeman, all of St. Peters; and a beloved friend, Mary L. Howard of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Carol Lucey; and a sister, Joyce Coomer.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 7 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Luther Rhodes officiating. Graveside committal will be at 1 p.m. at Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Mo.
