Herman Joseph Klipfel, 59, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at his home.

He was born Jan. 29, 1958, in St. Louis to Joseph Leonard and Lucille Margaret Jansen Klipfel. He and Priscilla Wolters were married Nov. 10, 1978, at Jackson.

He was a proud union member and loved his work with Pipefitters Local 562.

Herman loved to spend time with his family, especially coaching his kids in baseball and softball. He was a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. He also enjoyed fishing with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Priscilla Wolters Klipfel of Cape Girardeau; three sons, Travis (Laura) Klipfel, Tyler (Amanda) Klipfel and Trenton Klipfel, all of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Trisha Davidson of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Marvin (Cynthia) Klipfel and Mike (Therese) Klipfel, both of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Margie Auer and Debbie (Dennis) Drerup, both of Jackson, and Dini (Rob) Allsman of St. Charles, Missouri; and grandchildren Taylor, T.J., Brayden, Raelyn, Ellie Jo and Kaden.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Barry L. Pfanstiel officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Saint Francis Medical Center Foundation, designated to hospice care or cancer care.
