SIKESTON, Mo. -- Herman H. Smith, 89, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
He was born Nov. 22, 1912, at Clinton, Ark., the son of Ed and Bertha Bradley Smith. He married Jimmie L. Barnes. She survives.
He was a retired landowner, cattleman and farmer.
He also is survived by three daughters, Jo Bloemer, Karan Wibbenmeyer and Pam Westmoreland, all of Sikeston; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, four brothers, a sister and a grandson.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the chapel with the Rev. Jim Matthews, pastor of the Red Star Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, officiating.
Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.
