Herman Goodwin, 84, of Morehouse, died Thursday, July 10, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born July 7, 1913, in Canalou, the son of Ester Edward and Della Hobbs Goodwin. On June 6, 1933, he married Juanita Lucille Jordan at Bloomfield. She died June 1, 1997.
He was retired from Himmelberger-Harrison.
He belonged to the First Pentecostal Church of Morehouse.
Survivors are a son, Edward Goodwin of Yazoo City, Miss.; five daughters, Wanda Dillard, Geraldean Goodwin and Gala Hammon, all of Morehouse, Shirley Ledbetter of Belleville, Ill., and Sharon Adamitis of Alton, Ill.; two sisters, Reta Bell Ford of Windfall, Ind., and Lola Landers of Morehouse; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A daughter and sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Pentecostal Church of Morehouse, with the Revs. Jimmie Vent Nathaniel Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
