ESSEX, Mo. -- Herman E. Goodman Jr., 45, of Essex died Saturday, May 26, 2001, near Dexter, Mo. He was born June 7, 1955, at Dexter, son of Herman E. Goodman. He and Sharon Tibbs were married Dec. 27, 1997, at Dexter. Goodman lived in Essex until joining the Army, where he served 11 years. He returned to live in Essex, but moved to Dexter in 1989. ESSEX, Mo. -- Herman E. Goodman Jr., 45, of Essex died Saturday, May 26, 2001, near Dexter, Mo.

He was born June 7, 1955, at Dexter, son of Herman E. Goodman. He and Sharon Tibbs were married Dec. 27, 1997, at Dexter.

Goodman lived in Essex until joining the Army, where he served 11 years. He returned to live in Essex, but moved to Dexter in 1989. Goodman was employed as a forklift operator for G&S Masonry.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Shawn David Goodman of Fort Bragg, N.C.; two daughters, Latisha Goodman Casey of Sikeston, Mo., and Heather Goodman Cato of Fort Knox, Ky.; a stepdaughter, Lori Copeland of Dexter; four brothers, Michael, Thomas, William and Tony Goodman, all of Essex; and nine grandchildren.

Friends may call at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Ronnie L. Leadbetter will officiate, with burial in Essex Cemetery.
