SIKESTON -- Herman B. White, 55, of Chicago, formerly of Sikeston, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 1996, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born April 16, 1940, in Matthews, to Percy and Nellie Mae Hampton White.
White had lived in Chicago for more than 30 years.
Survivors include his parents of Haywood City; four brothers, Nathaniel and Eddie White, both of St. Louis, Percy Jr. and Larry White, both of Sikeston; six sisters, Willie Chamberlain of Essex, Lue Deering of Los Angeles, Birdester Thomas and Bernice Hamilton, both of St. Louis, Geneva Taylor of Sikeston and Margrette White of Haywood City.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Williams-Farr & Purnell Funeral Home in Sikeston.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sikeston, with the Rev. Bernice Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset of Memories Cemetery.
