Herbert Walter Wunderlich, 84, 153 S. Park, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1992, at his home. He was born Aug. 6, 1908, at Altenburg, son of Paul and Magdalena Heins Wunderlich. He and the former Esther Mangels were married March 6, 1930, at Farrar. Wunderlich moved to Cape Girardeau in 1944 from Altenburg. He worked 12 years at Younghouse Distributing Co., and also had worked at Pipkin-Boyd-Neal Packing Co., and Central Packing Co. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church...

He was born Aug. 6, 1908, at Altenburg, son of Paul and Magdalena Heins Wunderlich. He and the former Esther Mangels were married March 6, 1930, at Farrar.

Wunderlich moved to Cape Girardeau in 1944 from Altenburg. He worked 12 years at Younghouse Distributing Co., and also had worked at Pipkin-Boyd-Neal Packing Co., and Central Packing Co. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Clinton Wunderlich of Cape Girardeau, Oliver Wunderlich of Pocahontas; two daughters, Irene Jones of Millersville, Betty Guemmer of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Ed Wunderlich of Paducah, Ky.; 15 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, a brother and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. David Dissen will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
