DEXTER - Herbert Lee, 71, of Dexter died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at his home.

He was born Nov. 14, 1928, at Aquilla, son of Leffler and Ada Monroe Lee. He and Freida Martin were married May 23, 1947, in Piggott, Ark.

Lee retired as a security guard with Purolator Filter Co. in Dexter.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Tim Lee, a daughter, Karen Jines, a brother, Jerry Lee, all of Dexter; a sister, Helen Holland of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-7:30 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home, with the Rev. Thomas Martin officiating.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
