UNIONTOWN, Mo. -- Herbert A. Kramer, 86, of Uniontown died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 4, 1922, at Frohna, Mo., son of Ernst and Martha Vogel Kramer. He and Wilma A. Reisenbichler were married Aug. 17, 1947. She died June 28, 2002.
Kramer was a dairy farmer. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown, Production Credit in Farmington, Mo., and past director of Mid-America Dairymen.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Ken Kramer of Jackson, Steve Kramer of Oak Ridge; two daughters, Kathryn Scholl of Frohna, Kay Kramer of Los Angeles; three sisters, Lillian Pingel of Bella Vista, Ark., Marie Wirth and Betty Meyer of St. Louis; a brother, Roy Kramer of St. Paul, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and a sister.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, Mo.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military graveside rites provided by Missouri Honors Team.
