Herbert F. Sago Sr., 79, of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, July 1, 1997, at the Beverly Health and Rehab Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Sept. 1, 1917 in Pocahontas, Ark. He married Agnes L. Herbert F. Sago Sr., 79, of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, July 1, 1997, at the Beverly Health and Rehab Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 1, 1917 in Pocahontas, Ark. He married Agnes L. Biri. She preceded him in death.

Sago was a veteran of U.S. Navy in World War II and the Korean War. He was a machinist.

Survivors include a son, Herbert F. Sago Jr. of Sacramento, Calf.; two daughters, Barbara G. Forgash and Priscilla A. Hart of St. Louis; and 11 grandchildren.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. on Monday at the Kutis Funeral Chapel in St. Louis.

Graveside service will be at 12:45 p.m. Monday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau is in charge of local arrangements.
