SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Henry Edward Yount Sr., 90, of Sedgewickville passed away Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 14, 1926, at Yount, Missouri, the son of Jess and Ella J. Seabaugh Yount. He and Jean Bollinger were united in marriage Jan. 22, 1947, and she passed away Aug. 13, 2004.
Yount served his country proudly in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, making sonar and radar equipment. He worked as an electrician for Mobil Oil. Yount was a member of the Yount Cemetery Board, the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary of Chester, Illinois, and the Sedgewickville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his son, Henry Edward (Barb) Yount Jr. of Mecosta, Michigan; a daughter, Karen (Henry) Wolf of Chester; a sister-in-law, Betty Yount of Perryville, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jessica Yount and Christopher (Tracy) and Bradley (Danica) Wolf; three great-grandchildren, Ein Yount and Zoey and Micha Henry Wolf; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Jean; parents; and brothers and sisters, Perry, Frank, Mary and Bea Yount.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Missouri.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Anthony Stewart and Pam Ekey officiating. Burial will follow in the Patton Cemetery in Patton, Missouri, with full military honors provided by the Missouri Honors Team.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sedgewickville United Methodist Church, Yount Cemetery Association or Patton Cemetery Association.
