HENRY S. MILLER

EAST PRAIRIE -- Henry S. Miller, 52, of East Prairie died Wednesday, June 9, 1999, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Dec. 7, 1946, in East Prairie, the son of Henry S. Miller Sr. and Katherine Grigery Miller. He married Betty Jane Rynearson on May 8, 1971.

He had lived in Mississippi County his entire life and was a member of the Full Gospel Church in East Prairie. He was retired from Noranda Aluminum, where he was a member of the N.E.A.T. volunteer fire team and a former mediator for the union local.

He also was a member of the VFW post in Charleston and an honorary member of the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife; his mother; a son, Kendall Miller of St. Louis; a brother, Dennis Miller of St. Louis; two sisters, Thea Hale of DeSoto and Sara Lea LaPlant of Festus; and two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Shelby Chapel with Mike Johnson and Fred Girdwood officiating.

Burial will be at East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
