SCOTT CITY -- Henry E. Perr, 91, of Scott City died Monday, May 18, 1998, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 25, 1907, in New Wells, the son of August and Johannah Borchelt Perr.
He married Edith Wells on May 17, 1943.
He was a barber and worked at Style Rite Barbershop in Cape Girardeau for many years. He later moved to Illmo, where he owned his own barbershop. He was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City, where he taught Sunday school. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club for 20 years and a scout leader for 10 years. He was 4-H Club leader for 13 years. While a Sikeston resident, he worked at the Kenny Rogers center for 10 years and at Lambert's Cafe for three years.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Doyle L. Perr and Howard N. Perr, both of Scott City and Mark A. Perr of St. Louis; three daughters, Jane E. Perr of West Frankfort, Ill., Lois J. Buie of Mitchell, Ind., and Martha S. Mayville of Madlaghion, Texas; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 5:30 to 8 p.m today at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday with the Revs. Robert Kirite and Joel Sarrault officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery.
