Henry F. "Buddy" Mann, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 17, 1928, at Piggott, Ark., son of Everett and Artie French Mann. He and Katherine Fowler were married April 7, 1951, at Piggott, Ark.

Mann was an Air Force veteran with 19 years' service and a Navy veteran with two years' service. He spent 20 years employed as a Metropolitan Insurance agent. Mann attended Arkansas State University for two and a half years. He was a member of the VFW Post 3838. Mann was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jack Mann and friend Jane Bridges of Fenton, Mo.; a daughter, Anna Powers and husband, Nick of Tierra Verde, Fla.; three brothers, Bob Mann and wife Sunny of Fort Smith, Ark., Eugene Mann and wife Jan Lea of Piggott, Ark., Adon Mann and wife Ina Rae of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Frankie Towne and husband Jack of Hot Springs Village, Ark., Jane Cote of Piggott, Ark.; two grandchildren, Justin Mann of St. Louis, Sara Mann of St. Charles, Mo.

He was preceeded in death by three sisters, Billie Bucy, Albertine Smith and Ella Mann.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Short officiating.

Burial will at Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid, Mo. Military honors will be conducted by the Missouri Military Honors Team.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew Lutheran or Saxony Lutheran High School.
