Henry H. Kipper, 98, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Sept. 27, 2019, at Lutheran Home.
He was born May 24, 1921, in Seattle to the late Henry and Elisabeth Pasanen Kipper. Henry and Bernice Johnson were married July 11, 1947, in Dell Rapids, South Dakota. She preceded him in death March 6, 1995.
He served in the 467th Bomber Group in the Army Air Corp during World War II.
Henry was a career investigator for U.S. Customs Service, U.S. Treasury Department in Washington.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include sons, Paul (Bonnie) Kipper of Cape Girardeau and George Kipper of Maryland; daughters, Ingrid (Jim) Voorheis of Washington, Lynn (Gene) Ashe of Maryland and Louise (Don) Berdahl of Michigan; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and very close friend, Mildred Saari of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
A graveside service was held Sunday at the family cemetery in Garretson, South Dakota. Burial will be at St. Paul's Cemetery in Garretson.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
