PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Henry C. King Sr., 63, of Perryville died Monday, Sept. 15, 2003, at John J. Pershing Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He was born July 1, 1940, at Wittenberg, Mo., son of Henry and Frona Grace Shraw King. He and Janet F. Boyer were married Feb. 4, 1963, in Perryville.
King served 20 years in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked at Sabreliner Corp. 18 years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Deana Ernst and Melissa Fortner; a son, Henry King Jr.; two brothers, Andy and Alfred King, all of Perryville; two stepbrothers, Daniel and Bill Godair; two stepsisters, Dora Kohanes and Nellie Harrison; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, two stepsisters, and two stepbrothers.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. today., and Thursday from 6:30 a.m. until time of service.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Craig Otto officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, with graveside military honors by American Legion Post 133.
