JACKSON -- Henry Hauenschild, 86, of Jackson died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at his home.
He was born Aug. 15, 1912, at Tilsit, son of the late J.F. "August" and Lena Nagel Hauenschild. He and Martha Maevers were married Jan. 27, 1934. She preceded him in death on Sept. 25, 1989.
Mr. Hauenschild was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Tilsit and held all church offices at various times. He retired from farming in 1985 and moved to Jackson. He is survived by two daughters, Pat Southard of Shawnee, Kan., Mary Klaproth of Jackson; four granddaughters, Debbie Bauer of Tampa, Fla., Tammy Klaproth-Lutz of Madison, Wis., Carla Southard of Overland Park, Kan., Kim Klaproth of Columbia; two great-granddaughters, Anna and Tess Lutz, both of Madison; a brother, August Hauenschild of Jackson; and a sister, Alma Wilke of Jackson.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Don Reder officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery fund at Tilsit.
