HENRY FORNKAHL

PERRYVILLE -- Henry C. Fornkahl, 92, of Perryville died Thursday, May 18, 2000, at PerryOaks Healthcare Center.

He was born Dec. 21, 1907, in Cape Girardeau County, son of Henry and Augusta Kisner Fornkahl. He and Gertrude R. Hecht were married June 28, 1936.

Fornkahl was a retired farmer. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown, Senior Citizens, and AAL. He was organist for numerous Lutheran churches in Perry County for 50 years.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Gerald Fornkahl of St. Charles; a daughter, Gerlene Webb of Fenton; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and a half sister.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today, and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. until service time.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Wayne Palmer will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Church Cemetery at Longtown.
