ANNA, Ill. -- Henry Don Dillow, 76, of Anna died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999, at Union County Hospital at Anna.

He was born June 18, 1923, at Dongola, son of William Noel and Pearl Etta Davault Dillow. He married Martha R. Hileman March 20, 1954, at Anna.

He was a veteran of World War II, a route man for Coca-Cola bottling for 33 years, Anna city commissioner from 1959 to 1974 and on the board of directors for Anna National Bank from 1976 to 1992.

He was on the Union County Fair Board for 37 years, having served as president for the past 31 years. In 1992 he received the "Outstanding County Fair Person of the Year" award.

He was also on the board of the Illinois Association of Agriculture Fairs and served as its president from 1994 to 1995. He was parade marshal of the Anna Centennial in 1954, a past member of the Anna Elks Lodge 1641, the Anna Moose Lodge 1336, VFW Post 3455 and the Ainad Temple Shrine Club.

After retiring from Coca-Cola, he took up farming as a hobby. He was a member of Mount Moriah Lutheran Church at Anna.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Kathy Eaves of Anna; and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Rick Hertenstein and Albert Nyland officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Anna City Cemetery.
