Henry Carl Copman, 70, of Wheaton, Md., died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at his home. He was born April 2, 1933, in Advance, Mo., son of Paul and Lillie Hefner Copman. He and Rosemary O'Neill were married July 27, 1957. Mr. Copman retired from IBM after 36 years of service. He was an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels and Friendly Visitor Program...

Henry Carl Copman, 70, of Wheaton, Md., died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at his home.

He was born April 2, 1933, in Advance, Mo., son of Paul and Lillie Hefner Copman. He and Rosemary O'Neill were married July 27, 1957.

Mr. Copman retired from IBM after 36 years of service. He was an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels and Friendly Visitor Program.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Vincent Copman of Wheaton; three daughters, Terri Copman of Olney, Md., Camille Miller of Poolesville, Md., Heather Pick of Fallston, Md.; two sisters, Janice Ann Devore of Whitewater, Glenda Faye Godwin of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his eldest child, Doug Duncan.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 17 at Oakdale Emory United Methodist Church in Olney.
