NEW MADRID -- Henry Clay Jackson, 54, of New Madrid died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 1995, of an extended illness at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. NEW MADRID -- Henry Clay Jackson, 54, of New Madrid died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 1995, of an extended illness at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born March 25, 1941, at Barnes Ridge, son of Otis O'Neal and Cecil Virginia Mills Jackson. He and Ruth Woolf were married April 12, 1963, at New Madrid.

Jackson lived in New Madrid and Mississippi counties all his life. He was a farmer and a member of the New Life Assembly of God Church in New Madrid.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Charles S. Jackson of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Richard C. Jackson of New Madrid and Sammy E. Jackson of Lilbourn; three daughters, Terry L. Jackson and Katrina Ann Jackson, both of New Madrid, and Penny Smith of St. Louis; three brothers, Lloyd Jackson of Lansing, Mich., Johnny Jackson of East Prairie and Hank Jackson of Kewanee; four sisters, Bertha M. Manning of South Carolina, Bonnie G. Boulton and Sue Bagwell, both of East Prairie, and Jane Graham of Kewanee; and seven grandchildren.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Keith Atchley officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
