HENRY ANTONE WILHELM

SCOTT CITY -- Henry Antone Wilhelm, 85, of Scott City died Friday, April 26, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 25, 1910, at New Hamburg, son of John and Leona Wahl Wilhelm. He and Carrie Ruth McClain were married March 29, 1947, at Cape Girardeau. She survives.

Wilhelm worked for Ely Walker for 44 years until he retired. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6420 of Scott City. He also was a member of the men's club at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jim D. Wilhelm of Denver and Kenneth Wilhelm of Scott City; a daughter, Sandra Borst of Jackson; four sisters, Clara Mae Sailer of Scott City, Peggy Butler of Cape Girardeau, Katie Brinker of Oran and Mary Stewart of Benton; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. A joint parish prayer and Knights of Columbus service will begin at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Pat Wissman will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
