PERRYVILLE -- Henry A. "Dick" Schrumpf, 81, of Perryville, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 1996, at his home.
He was born July 12, 1914, at Old Appleton, son of Henry C. and Rose Zella Ross Schrumpf. He and Agnes E. Karl were married Feb. 15, 1947, in St. Louis.
Schrumpf was an eucharistic minister at St. Vincent's Catholic Church. He was a member of Holy Name Society, Lions Club, Jail Ministry, Daily World Missionary in St. Louis, and was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He had been active in Boy Scouting.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Barbara Schaefer of Blue Springs, Janet Davis of Manassas Park, Va.; a brother, Walter Schrumpf of Perryville; two sisters, Irene Savage of St. Louis, and Martha Lukefahr of Perryville.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Friday and 6:30-9:50 a.m. Saturday. The rosary will be at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
