Henrietta Carolina Alvina Monteith, 94, of Jackson died Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at her home.
She was born Feb. 15, 1909, in Scott City, daughter of William and Anna Roth Diebold. She and Cecil E. Monteith were married Oct. 9, 1926, in St. Louis. He died March 14, 1999.
Monteith was a volunteer at the Teen Challenge Thrift Store many years, and served on the Mid-America Teen Challenge Auxiliary Board. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church, and was a coordinator for Jackson Senior Citizens Center from 1980 to 1983.
Survivors include a son, Gary Monteith of Burfordville; a daughter, Sharon Wolyniak; of Monument, Colo.; a sister, Shirley McGhee of Clubb, Mo.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson after 10 a.m. today.
The funeral will be at noon today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dean Heady officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
