Henrietta Lands

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Henrietta Lands, 70, of Chaffee passed away Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at Chaffee Nursing Center.

She was born July 20, 1943, in Chaffee to Paul and Helen Bernice Halter Evans Sr. She and Bobby Ray Lands Sr. were married Oct. 20, 1961. He preceded her in death May 9, 1982.

Henrietta was of the Pentecostal belief and a member of Christian Mission Church in Benton, Mo. She was a machine operator 20 years at Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee.

Survivors include three sons, Bobby Lands Jr., Richard Lands and Douglas Lands, all of Chaffee; two daughters, Kathy Holmes and Debbie Schultz of Chaffee; a brother, Paul Evans Jr. of Delta; a sister, Rose Kinder of Cape Girardeau; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Evans.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel. William Marshall will officiate, assisted by Theresa Williams. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
