CHARLESTON -- Helene Sneed, 87, Charleston Route 2, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 1995, at her home. She was born Dec. 15, 1907, in Kentucky, daughter of Stephen and Mary Pool Hurt. CHARLESTON -- Helene Sneed, 87, Charleston Route 2, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 1995, at her home.

She was born Dec. 15, 1907, in Kentucky, daughter of Stephen and Mary Pool Hurt. She and Louie Sneed were married March 17, 1928. He died Aug. 20, 1962.

Sneed was a member of the United Methodist Church at Illmo, and Women's Improvement Club of Diehlstadt.

Survivors include a brother, Steve Hurt of Thomaston, Ga.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
