Helen L. Wulfers, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Sept. 20, 1923, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Otto J. and Leona T. Haas Wulfers.
Miss Wulfers had been an accountant at car dealerships in St. Louis and Cape Girardeau. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include a brother, Leo and wife Lawana "Lon" Wulfers of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Ruth Wulfers of Cape Girardeau, Anita "Nickie" wife of the late Bill Williams of Cape Girardeau, Ann Marie "Teen" and husband John Evans of Sullivan, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Joe and wife Mary Lee Davis of Cape Girardeau.
Also nieces and husbands, Mary Ann and Jim Travis of Salt Lake City, Utah, Ann and Gordon Brookman of Cape Girardeau, Jane and Dennis Shrewsbury of St. Louis, Laura Rose and Jeff Beltz of Jackson; nephews and wives, J. George and Teresa Davis of Cape Girardeau, Mark Evans of Sullivan, David and Mary Wulfers of Tulsa, Okla., Matthew and Rhonda Davis of Memphis, Tenn., Tim and Daniel Davis of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mercedes at age 2, and Clara Davis, and a brother, Paul Wulfers.
Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday. A vigil will begin at 7.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Charles Prost officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
